Lounge @ Daisy's presents some of the freshest, most classic, most unheard of, most mind exploding downtempo, house, nu disco, dub, reggae, Latin, soul and funk music anywhere. It's one of those nights where you never will know exactly where the music is going to go, but where it goes, is always somewhere you want to be. It's just like that. It's just really good music that will leave you smiling on the dance floor.

This event is free because we don't want barriers. It's a community effort you could say, because without you, it doesn't exist. Lounge @ Daisy's is the kind of place you can just show up to, as you are, either dressed up or fresh off a day at the park, and have a good time. When it comes to dancing, do what you want to do. On the Daisy's dance floor you'll always find Salsa dancers mixing it up with b-boys/girls and House heads, or some people happy just to shuffle their feet to the rhythm. Anything goes and everything is right.

These Lounge nights focus on styles and sounds you won't hear anywhere else in the area (unless one of the Select Rhythms DJs happens to be somewhere else). We're not being pretentious about it, that's just how it is. DJs Lazer, Blazer & Properly Chilled switch up who's in control of the music constantly throughout the night so they're always giving you something fresh from open to close.

Here is Select Rhythms June-August 2010 schedule. We'll be taking over Daisy Baker's in Troy, every 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month. We'll also be taking over Quintessence in Albany every 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month.

Each Select Rhythms night you'll have resident DJs LAZER & BLAZER and PROPERLY CHILLED, joined occasionally by a top shelf list of recurring and one-time guest DJs.
